Capability

What we
deliver.

From National Grid TS and ENA-aligned engineering through coded welding and hot-dip galvanising — every OHL fabrication is workshop trial-fitted, identification stamped and delivered to possession-window programmes.

  • Specification-led engineering

    Phase 01

    Specification-led engineering

Fabrication drawings produced to National Grid TS, ENA Engineering Recommendations and the bespoke specs of UK DNOs and IDNOs — conductor tensions, ice loads and short-circuit forces modelled.

    • National Grid TS
    • ENA ERs
    • DNO bespoke specs
    • Load cases modelled
  • Workshop fabrication

    Phase 02

    Workshop fabrication

Strain supports, line terminations, cross-arms, anti-climb steel and substation interfaces — cut, drilled and welded in workshop, then trial-fitted before despatch.

    • Strain & line supports
    • Cross-arms & anti-climb
    • Workshop drilled
    • Trial-fitted
  • Galvanised and identified

    Phase 03

    Galvanised and identified

Hot-dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 with identification stamps applied pre-galvanising, plus duplex paint systems where specified.

    • BS EN ISO 1461
    • ID stamps pre-galv
    • Duplex paint optional
    • Bolt packs supplied
  • Programme-critical delivery

    Phase 04

    Programme-critical delivery

OHL fabrication

Transmission & distribution overhead line fabrication

Overhead line structural steel fabrication for transmission and distribution projects across the UK — strain supports, line terminations, cross-arms, anti-climb steel and substation interface fabrications, engineered to National Grid TS and ENA Engineering Recommendations.

From 11 kV distribution through 400 kV transmission, every fabrication is workshop trial-fitted, identification stamped, hot-dip galvanised and delivered to possession-window programmes.

Specification-led engineering

DNO and IDNO bespoke specs are translated into fabrication-ready drawings by our in-house engineers, with every assembly traceable from heat number to installed location.

Programme-critical delivery

Loads are sequenced to possession windows with Hiab offload at remote line sites — co-ordinated by our UK steel delivery team.
