Staircase design is governed by intended use, anticipated traffic volume and usage frequency. Solutions range from general access stairs, fire escapes and spiral or helical stairs through to tank-access steel — engineered to the application.

Architectural steel staircases can serve as a significant design feature within a building. Structural and aesthetic detailing options support a wide range of residential, commercial and public-realm applications.
Staircases can be specified with glass balustrades, perforated infill panels, polyester powder-coated mild steel, painted finishes and stainless steel handrails — selected to suit the architect's specification and project finish standard.
Fire escapes
Design, fabrication and installation of fire escapes
Engineering site visits assess the proposed installation area, with 3D design output issued on receipt of order detailing structural form and fixing strategy — ensuring a safe, stable and compliant fire escape structure suitable for sign-off.

Fire escapes, access platforms and staircases are designed to the safety standards required by current Building Regulations. Environmental and operator safety factors are formally assessed within every platform and walkway design to ensure structural integrity and compliance evidence on handover.

Stairs
Steel stairs, fire escapes and balustrades
Internal stairs, external fire escapes, mezzanine access and balustrades — designed, fabricated and finished in-house as part of the wider structural steel package. Compliant with Building Regulations Part K and BS 5395, with handrails sized for the loading the spec demands.
Treads can be checker plate, open mesh grating or solid plate; balustrades in mild steel, galvanised or stainless. Finishes include hot-dip galvanising, powder coat and architectural paint systems.
