What is a custom metal framework?

A custom metal framework is a bespoke fabricated structure — mezzanine, plant support, equipment skid, raised platform, walkway or guarding — engineered to a specific load case rather than picked from a catalogue.

Can you design from a brief?

Yes. Tell us the load, footprint, environment and finish and our in-house design team will produce a concept, structural calculations and fabrication drawings for approval before manufacture.

Are custom frameworks CE marked?

Yes. Load-bearing frameworks are fabricated to BS EN 1090 EXC 3 and CE / UKCA marked with a Declaration of Performance. Non-structural decorative frameworks are built to the same quality standard.

Do you install on site?

Yes. We offer supply-and-install with our own erection teams, or supply-only with a method statement for your installer.

What materials do you use?

Mild steel as standard, stainless steel for hygienic or marine environments, and aluminium where weight matters. Galvanising, powder coating and intumescent paint are all available.

How long does design and fabrication take?

Concept to approved drawings typically takes 1–2 weeks; fabrication then runs 2–4 weeks depending on tonnage and finish. Programme is confirmed on order acceptance.

Welding procedures are managed by our Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) and made available for client review prior to contract commencement. WPSs are approved across a range of industry sectors, and third-party inspection and testing requirements are co-ordinated to current standards.
