Why fabricate with us

Architectural steel detailed for buildability

Balustrades, feature stairs, canopies and bespoke architectural steel are detailed by engineers integrated with the workshop — finishes, fixings and tolerances align with the architect's intent and survive the realities of site installation.

Capability

Architectural metalwork

Capability extends across the full range of architectural metalwork — structural and cantilever walk-on balconies, steel staircases, staircase balustrades, external railings, fire escapes, cat ladders and vehicle and pedestrian gates.

Production is supported by 3D detailing software to maintain accuracy and dimensional consistency. Glass, timber and stone can be integrated alongside the steelwork, with a wide range of colour options and protective finishes to suit the project aesthetic.

Design

Period and contemporary architectural features

Architectural detailing varies significantly between historical periods, architectural practices and regional traditions. The design team regularly collaborates with architects, designers and end clients to develop architectural metalwork — including profiles, decorative detailing and bespoke sizing aligned to the project specification.

Materials

Stainless steel and glass

Stainless steel and glass balustrading is supported across the full design, fabrication and installation cycle to deliver the architect's specified finish. Demand for stainless and glass balustrading continues to grow within both residential and commercial development.

The business retains the technical knowledge, fabrication skill and equipment required to deliver this finish to the standard expected by architects, end clients and principal contractors.

Complex shapes

Metal forming for architectural detail

Metal forming is a principal manufacturing process — encompassing forging, rolling, wire drawing, extrusion, deep drawing and bending. Cold and hot forming apply localised compressive force through a forming tool, generating high contact pressures at the workpiece / tool interface to deform the workpiece to the specified geometry and surface finish.

Architectural

Architectural metalwork and structural steel finishes

Architectural fabrications are visible work: feature stairs, balustrades, canopies, screens and bespoke metalwork that sit on top of the structural steel package and need to look as good as they perform.

Finer tolerances, hidden fixings, dressed welds and a curated finish — hot-dip galvanising, powder coat, anodise or polished stainless — all coordinated by the same team that runs the structural frame.

Drawn for the eye and the engineer

Detailing is run by our in-house CAD team alongside the architect, so visible joints, mitres and reveals are intentional, not the residue of fabrication.

Made on the same line

Architectural assemblies are fabricated in the same metal fabrication workshop as the primary frame, by the same coded welders, with the same compliance pack.
