Steel with a smaller
footprint
Environmental Policy
Structural steel is one of the most recyclable construction materials on earth — and our UK fabrications underpin the low-carbon grid transition. Our published Environmental policy, reviewed annually and aligned to ISO 9001:2015, sets out how we minimise workshop waste and maximise positive impact. Available with every PQQ.
BS EN 1090
Certified to BS EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 Execution Class 3 as per BS EN 1090-2:2018
30+ Years
Years supplying the industry with trusted structural steel fabrication and installation excellence
Workforce
Welding Quality Management System (WQMS) accredited by ISOQAR, approved to BS EN 1090 EXC 3.
UK-Wide
Site erection coverage across the United Kingdom with full project management support
Environment policy
Low-waste fabrication, traceable material and an energy-efficient workshop.
Material traceability from mill to site, optimised nesting to cut steel waste, recycled offcuts and an energy-efficient Sharnford workshop — sustainability built into the fabrication workflow.
Capability
What we
deliver.
From responsible material sourcing and HDG-route emissions tracking through workshop energy reduction and end-of-life steel recyclability — every fabrication decision is measured against documented environmental targets and reported on each contract.
Phase 01
Full material traceability
Every section, plate and bolt traceable to its mill certificate and heat number. CE / UKCA Declaration of Performance issued with every consignment so embodied carbon and origin can be reported end-to-end.
- Mill certificate tracking
- Heat number records
- UKCA DoP
- EPD-ready data
Phase 02
Low-waste nesting & cutting
CNC plasma and saw cutting driven by nesting software that maximises plate utilisation and minimises offcuts. Remaining scrap is segregated and returned to UK mills for re-melt.
- Optimised nesting
- Saw-cut beam utilisation
- Segregated scrap stream
- Returned for re-melt
Phase 03
Energy-efficient workshop
LED workshop lighting, modern inverter-driven welding plant and compressed-air management to reduce energy use per tonne fabricated.
- LED workshop lighting
- Inverter welders
- Compressed-air management
- Energy use monitoring
Phase 04
Enabling UK grid & renewables
We fabricate the substation steelwork, transmission gantries and grid infrastructure that connect renewable generation to the grid — a direct contribution to UK net-zero delivery.
- Substation steelwork
- Transmission gantries
- Grid reinforcement
- Renewable energy supports
Accreditations
Quality you can
prove anytime.
Every job leaves our facility with full documentation — mill certificates, weld records, inspection reports, CE / UKCA declarations and delivery notes.
- BS EN 1090 EXC 3
- BS EN 9606-1 Coded Welders
- ISOQAR Accredited WQMS
- UKCA Marking
- ISO 9001 Quality
- CE Marked Fabrication
Logistics
Loads planned, miles minimised
Deliveries are sequenced and consolidated to fill loads, with regional hubs reducing empty miles. We work with hauliers operating modern Euro 6 fleets.
Procurement
UK steel where it counts
Preferred sourcing from UK and European mills with published Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), supporting shorter supply chains and lower embodied carbon.
Continuous improvement
Measured, reported, improved
Annual review of energy, waste and scrap data with targets set for the year ahead. Reported to clients on framework projects where a sustainability dashboard is required.
